The YouTube 2014 Ad Blitz winners have been crowned!

While the Big Game champions may have been determined by the cleats on the field, the advertiser champions were chosen by you on YouTube.

You cast your votes for your favorite game day commercials on YouTube Ad Blitz 2014. After a week of intense competition, we crunched the numbers and are ready to name the victors.

Cheers to Budweiser on being voted the best Super Bowl Commercial on YouTube! "Puppy Love" won your hearts, and the title of YouTube Ad Blitz 2014 Champion.



Rounding out the top five spots on YouTube Ad Blitz 2014:

In second place, Coca-Cola reinforced unity with a multilingual rendition of "America the Beautiful."



Chrysler’s "America's Import" took third with Bob Dylan in a tribute to Detroit.



Fans pushed "Trust Your Power" from Duracell featuring the NFL’s Derrick Coleman to the number four spot.



And last, but certainly not least, Jaguar pulled in as number five with its cinematic "British Villains' Rendezvous."


Not only did these spots receive the most votes on YouTube, but they also attracted more than 101 million views combined.

Be a part of the Big Game with YouTube Ad Blitz this weekend

It’s clear you’re starting your Big Game preparation early with YouTube’s Ad Blitz 2014. As of this week, commercial teasers on YouTube have been watched 77 million times--more than twice as much as this time last year.


And when the commercials roll out on Sunday, February 2, you’ll want to watch them again and again. Come game day, tune back into the Ad Blitz channel to view your favorite spots as they go live on TV. As soon as the game is officially over, you’ll have until 11:59 p.m. ET on February 10 to vote for your favorite commercial spots.

There’s more fun to be had on the YouTube Ad Blitz channel. Catch up with custom content from talented YouTube stars including SoulPancake, Sawyer Hartman, The Brothers Riedell, Brittani Louise Taylor, 5 Second Films, John Elerick, UCB Comedy, Final Cut King and The Fine Brothers.

Catch a sneak peek of the 2014 Super Bowl commercials

The wait is over, football fans: from today you can get a sneak peek of some of this year’s Big Game ads right here on YouTube. For the first time ever, the YouTube Ad Blitz pregame gallery will feature teaser commercials to watch all in one place.

This year’s Ad Blitz channel will feature:

  • Teasers: Get ahead of the game--YouTube is hosting your one-stop shop to view teaser commercials. Last year some of the most iconic ads were released before the game even began--remember the cat hugging lady, purple genie chihuahua and exploding soda bottles?
  • Highlights: Kick back before kickoff with FOX Sports playoff analysis for teams on the road to the championship.
  • Custom content: Tune in to see custom content from some of your favorite YouTube stars.
  • Postgame voting: Challenge your friends to vote for their favorite commercials. Ad Blitz puts the commercials in your hands postgame, letting you view and vote on your favorite ads from your laptop, smartphone or tablet.

It's clear how much you love watching and sharing these commercials on YouTube. In 2013, you watched Big Game ads more than 265M times for over 3.2M hours--that’s the equivalent of watching 800,000 Big Game broadcasts!

So let the 2014 ads game begin!

2013 YouTube Ad Blitz Winners Revealed

This year’s game day was was full of action--both on and off the field. After Baltimore and San Francisco battled it out during the game, you went online to vote for your favorite game day commercial in our annual YouTube Ad Blitz contest. After a week of intense competition, we’ve tallied the final votes and you chose Ram Truck brand’s "Farmer" commercial as your favorite ad of the big game!



Rounding out the top five commercials of the big game are spots from Budweiser, Samsung, Jeep and Hyundai:

2. Budweiser "The Clydesdales"
3. Samsung "The Next Big Thing"
4. Jeep "Whole Again"
5. Hyundai "Team"

From celebrity cameos to poetic images, these commercials represent the game day ads that resonated most with viewers online. In addition to being the highest voted ads on Ad Blitz, the five spots combined generated more than 61 million views on YouTube in two weeks--making up more than 30 percent of all total views of game day ads and teasers on YouTube (as of February 14). And the Ad Blitz channel had more than 46 million interactions with this year’s new features such as "Call the Coach" and "Paper Football."

Infographic: YouTube Ad Blitz post-game report

From brewskies to Bradshaw and celebs to salsa, the 2012 Super Bowl brought millions of you from across the globe to YouTube's Ad Blitz channel to vote on your favorite commercials. When the final tallies came in, Ad Blitz saw more than 89 million views worldwide, and the day after the game, 26 percent of those came from outside the US.

The Ad Blitz team was so excited by all of you that participated, so to thank you we pulled together an infographic about the activity from the big game.

And the YouTube Ad Blitz winners are...

While America’s feelings were divided on the outcome of the game, there’s one aspect of Super Bowl Sunday that crosses team loyalties and brings us together — the commercials. This year’s commercials had something for everyone, from cute dogs to talking babies to Adriana Lima. After a week of intense competition in the YouTube Ad Blitz contest, the votes are in and you voted M&M’S “Just My Shell” commercial as your favorite ad of the Super Bowl!



Rounding out the top five commercials of the big game are spots from Chrysler Group, Bud Light, Chevy Silverado and Doritos:

In its fifth year running, YouTube Ad Blitz has already surpassed previous years with 133M views from fans worldwide, up 43 percent from last year (as of Sunday, 2/12)...and still counting! In fact, during game time roughly 6 percent of all U.S. YouTube traffic came from people watching Super Bowl commercials on Ad Blitz.

The days that saw the highest volume of views were Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, making up 82 percent of total views received over the week. And it wasn’t just fans in the states seeking out the commercials — nearly 18 percent of all views came from outside of the U.S. Other interesting stats include:
  • The most popular ads drove the majority of views - 65 percent of video views came from the top ten commercials.
  • Google searches related to [Super Bowl commercials] peaked on Monday, but continued through the rest of the week.
  • More than 32 percent 
of all mobile votes occurred on Tablet devices, our first year running Ad Blitz on a tablet-optimized channel.

NBC Sports and YouTube bring the Super Bowl XLVI ads to you with YouTube Ad Blitz

Super Bowl XLVI will be one of the biggest moments of the year for advertisers, commanding the attention of millions of Americans tuned in to watch the game. After the big plays on the field, you can join in on the action online with YouTube Ad Blitz — where you decide the best commercial of the game.

As the premier online gallery of Super Bowl commercials, YouTube Ad Blitz puts all the commercials in your hands, letting you view and vote on the top ads of the Super Bowl, whether you’re on a computer, mobile phone or tablet. This year, NBC Sports is the official partner for YouTube Ad Blitz, adding online promotion to its Super Bowl coverage.


Troy Ewanchyna, Vice President, Business Development & Digital Strategies, NBC Sports Group, noted, “YouTube’s Ad Blitz is the perfect platform for us to extend our online promotion for our coverage of Super Bowl XLVI. The post-game Ad Blitz and the next-day Google+ Hangout allow us to extend our coverage and continue to serve viewers even when the game has concluded.”

The Ad Blitz gallery will be hosted on NBCSports.com and the YouTube Ad Blitz Channel, where you can watch your favorite commercials after they’ve aired on NBC. Voting begins after the final whistle and will continue until Midnight ET on February 13. We’ll also host a Google+ Hangout after the game where you can chat face-to-face with an NBC celebrity.
